Introducing....Krista Dunn
I am a native "St. Louisan," who went to high school right down the street from Hancock at Notre Dame High School. As far back as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. I started my educational journey at Fontbonne University, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduating, I found my home at Hancock Place Middle School (12 years ago). To quench my lust for learning, I returned to school and earned my master’s degree in Secondary Education & Education Technology.
Most of my career at Hancock has been spent teaching reading and writing to 6th grade students. In 2012, I moved "up" and began teaching 7th graders. In addition to teaching, I help run student council and book club. One of my proudest moments occurred last year....I was honored by becoming Hancock Place School District's Teacher of the Year.
My husband, Chris, is the music teacher at Queen of All Saints. We have a son named Brayden, who is 4 years old, and a daughter named Charlotte, who is 18 months old. They keep us very busy! And, of course, our household would not be complete without our dog, Belle.
